On meeting Paul on the initial site visit my husband and I found him to be very knowledgeable and immediately interpreted the plans and our vision for the loft conversion and subsequent alterations.

Some additional work was need by other trades and Paul sourced this for us and again these tradesmen did a great job.

“I asked Paul Prior, of Acute Carpentry, to look at an upstairs room where I needed a fitted wardrobe and give me a written estimate as to the cost of building it. This he did quickly and efficiently and I later engaged him to do the work as it was a reasonable price.

The actual work turned out to be quite intricate as the wardrobe had to fit within a space formed by the ceiling coming down at a steep angle to the wall and floor necessitating several of the surfaces to be cut at forty-five degrees rather than straight so that they all fitted closely to the original surfaces.

Paul overcame all these problems as well as those caused by uneven floor and ceiling surfaces to create a two door wardrobe with two cupboards to the side, one fitted with shelves. He took extra trouble to ensure that the whole unit looked neat and uniform, the doors opening and closing neatly and fitting well.

He was able to advise me as to the finishing with paint and did a very good job of tidying up both the room where he had been working and the garden where he had cut the mdf to size.

I am very happy with the result of his labour and expertise and would recommend him.”
